Philosophy

Therapy in this practice is oriented toward understanding the emotional patterns that shape a person’s inner life, relationships, and recurring symptoms.

While symptoms bring people to treatment, they are rarely the problem themselves. More often, they are expressions of deeper ways of feeling, relating, and coping that have developed over time.

My work focuses on helping people recognize, experience, and transform these underlying patterns — not simply manage distress, but create lasting psychological change.

A depth-oriented approach to meaningful change

This work is not primarily about techniques, quick strategies, or symptom control alone.

It focuses on developing a deeper understanding of emotional experience, relational patterns, and unconscious processes that shape how people think, feel, and act — often outside of awareness.

Through careful attention to the therapeutic relationship, longstanding patterns can be understood and gradually transformed.

This work is especially helpful for people who:

  • notice recurring emotional or relational patterns
  • feel outwardly high-functioning but inwardly distressed
  • struggle with anxiety, low mood, or emotional overwhelm
  • experience the same difficulties across relationships
  • want lasting change rather than short-term fixes
